Nansen East-West Dialogue Academy 2019

On 5 - 13 August 2019, the third consecutive NEWDAY - Nansen East-West Dialogue Academy was convened in Lillehammer, Norway. The course was organized by Nansen Academy, NIAS - Nordic Institute of Asian Studies, Shandong University and Fudan-European Centre for China Studies in collaboration with partners from Fudan University and Korea University.

This year, 58 students from the Nordic region and East Asia took part in the summer course.

Each day of the summer course was organized around a unique theme, including the Nordic model; Leadership, Education and Society; Identity, Gender and Politics, and more. The course offered not only lectures, but also focused on engaging students through panel debates, Q & A’s, and workshops. Cultural activities and excursions were also part of the programme.
